Going through to see if older images need re-edit w/LR4, found a couple from Nepal I had strangely ignored.  I love the alpenglow on Nup Tse, which from Kala Pathar where I’m standing is about half the distance that Everest was (and the big guy wasn’t exactly distant, it was in my face!).  So the detail with that light on this NW face of NupTse is incredible. It’s west ridge (actually all the ridges you can see) looks like an extremely gnarly climb.  I also found a shot of Tangboche monastery I had edited and not really liked, but I got an edit now that I do like.  And the setting – early morning when I was up at first light, hanging out mere feet from where I had slept, listening to the echo of the gong calling the monks to prayer – could not have been more mysterious and beautiful.  What a day that turned out to be, my next to last of a 3-week trek.  In fact the last day too was perfect.
