In Jackson Hole, Wyoming, along with the Fed.  But interest rates aren’t on my mind. It’s due to get cooler, with probable thunderstorms, so that’s a good thing for a photographer.  The top photo is at Oxbow Bend, the popular locale along the Snake. Instead of shooting from the pullout, which is above the lake, I went down to lake level, mostly because it was dawn and I was looking for wildlife (specifically moose). The mountains look a bit smaller from this angle, and the morning was too clear for award-winning images anyhow.  I watched a trumpeter swan for a bit. The bottom image is taken along the highway north of Jackson Hole, of my favorite grazing animal (sorry buffalo).  What a beautiful location for a horse ranch.  It’s during harsh mid-day, but still a spectacular image I think.  So I’ll stay awhile, hike during the day, and hope for the drama of a thunderstorm during dusk or morning hours.
