My destination for a short hike toward the end of the day, to Triple Falls, on Oneonta Creek, a tributary gorge to the Columbia River Gorge.  At one point Oneonta narrows to a slot canyon, just as spectacular in its way as any in the Southwest (just a whole lot wetter and greener).  Note the bridge upstream from the falls, which was just rebuilt after having washed away two winters ago.
