A couple shots from Toroweap, that beautiful and peaceful place on the north rim of the Grand Canyon.  You have to drive 60 miles off-pavement, one way, but I’m gonna say it’s worth it.  Especially if you go to the trouble to hike down to the river.  A warning though: it’s super tough, only for those who are used to very steep scrambling, like you get bagging peaks in Alaska say.  And I wouldn’t try it in the summer when it’s hot, unless you go at night.  People have died of heat stroke on the hike.
